The 2009 General Counsel Forum was the highlight of the year. One hundred attorneys met to have dinner, and listen to 3 chief legal officers describe their path to their current positions, their challenges in the current environment, and their hopes for the future of an in-house law career. Professional Development Fair - April 9, 2009
The Career Management Committee hosted this unique program. We brought together four individuals from staffing agencies to speak on various topics of interest including what to expect (or not expect) from staffing agencies; the importance of presentation throughout your career; the essentials of networking; and how to increase your value in your current position. 2008 National Community Service Day
The Minnesota Chapter participated in the Community Service Day for the first time this year. The Chapter worked with Hearts & Hammers to do exterior painting and some general landscaping for “Donna,” a homeowner in Northeast Minneapolis. Donna's son recently moved out of the home and she could use other’s help to beautify her home. Hearts & Hammers is a private non-profit organization serving local communities by organizing volunteers to revitalize the homes of homeowners. They select homeowners based solely on need.
