Overview

Use of social networking by employees and employers is a growing issue and concern for all businesses. According to a recent study, 45 percent of employers are using social networks to screen job candidates. Learn about the use of data in the hiring process, including inaccurate information, discrimination, retaliation, invasion of privacy and lawful off-duty conduct. Other areas of potential legal liability include defamation, both of employees and of the company, protecting trade secrets; and monitoring of employee communications. Our presenters will also offer real-world employer strategies to assist in dealing with these issues.
