Pro Bono Joint Initiative Kick-off Meeting

If you are a pro bono coordinator in a Houston law firm or office or an attorney working to increase the pro bono activities of your firm or company in Houston, then please attend the Kick-off Meeting for the Houston Pro Bono Joint Initiative between the Houston Pro Bono Network and In-House Counsel. This meeting will  be held on December 8, 2009 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided and CLE hours awarded.

GHASP (fights air pollution)

This is a new ACC pro bono committee project for those members desiring to provide pro bono services in areas of law that are more transactional in nature.

Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program

Most  other ACC Houston chapter pro bono activities are in conjunction with clinics supported by the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program.  At these clinics, ACC volunteers provide legal advice and conduct intake interviews. HVLP support is available to assist in these interviews and provide translators if needed.

Additional opportunities are available and encouraged for ACC members who desire to participate in other HVLP sponsored clinics or to represent clients who are accepted through the clinic intake process.
