Batman and Robin
“Holy September, Batman.”
“Why do you say that, Robin?”
“Because ACC Houston had so many events last month, Batman. There was the chapter meeting which featured a presentation on the recent session of the Texas Legislature by Mark Vane of Gardere Wynne and Sewell, LLP. There were also meetings of the Small Law Department Practice Group (on information management) which was sponsored by the Littler law firm, and of the IP Practice Group (on Patent Reform Legislation pending in Congress) which was sponsored by Vinson & Elkins. And not be outdone, the Latin America Practice Group had two meetings (one on the new Pemex framework and the other on agency and distribution). There was also a breakfast presentation on the results of the 6th Annual In House Compensation survey which was co-sponsored by Houston ACC, KMPG and Prescott Legal Search. And the Social Networking Committee began a new monthly happy hour and a new monthly lunch meeting for members in transition.”
“Robin, I am exhausted. Where can I get further information on all this?”
“Just click here, Batman, and it will be all at your fingertips.”
Robin, clear our schedule an make sure the bat mobile is ready, we are going to become in house lawyers and start attending some of these wonderful Houston ACC events.
