Former Chapter Member Nominated to be General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Treasury

President Obama has nominated George Madison to be General Counsel of the U. S. Department of Treasury.
Until recently he was Executive Vice President and General Counsel of TIAA-CREFF in NYC and an active ACC member, having served on the Association of Corporate Counsel Board of Directors.

Upon confirmation, George will be the second ACC leader to become the chief legal office of a major cabinet department in the Obama administration, joining the Ivan Fong, 2009's (now former) Chair of ACC's Board of Directors who is General Counsel of the United States Department of Homeland Security.
