Greater New York ChapterComplianceCompliance Members Practice GroupThe Association of Corporate Counsel Greater New York Chapter's (ACCGNY) Ethics and Compliance Committee will be composed of ACCGNY members who have an interest in (i) the challenges posed by instilling ethical conduct in the corporate context, or (ii) the issues arising from ensuring corporate compliance with relevant laws and codes of conduct. The committee will arrange formal and/or informal committee sessions and will collect and develop information of particular interest to its members. In the past year we sponsored a well received program on compliance issues at the annual meeting. We are also planning to present programs of interest at the upcoming Ethics Program in November. We are a relatively new committee and we are seeking to expand our membership with ACCGNY members who would like the opportunity to network informally with other in-house lawyers who share a common interest in ethics and compliance issues; develop contacts with other in-house lawyers to share advice and assistance on substantive compliance issues as they arise in our practices; attend regular short educational sessions and/or cle’s on compliance and ethics, and plan regular formal compliance and ethics programs.
