Free Job Posting Service for DELVACCA Member Companies

Posted: Aug 6, 2010

DELVACCA has implemented a new chapter Job Board service for our member companies where in-house attorney job postings can now be distributed for free to DELVACCA members.  Attorney job postings will be distributed to the chapter via two methods:

  1. via e-mail through the DELVACCA Job Board eGroup which all chapter members have been initially subscribed to and;
  2. through the chapter website on the new DELVACCA Job Board link (which will be password protected for access by active DELVACCA members only).

The DELVACCA Job Board is not designed to be used for postings related to:paralegals, legal assistants, law firm jobs (including in-house counsel law firm positions), positions in the public sector, or for other legal administrative job postings.  Additionally, only jobs that are posted directly from DELVACCA member companies will be approved for distribution to the chapter.  Positions coordinated by legal recruiter agencies, placement firms, staffing firms or head hunters, can not be posted on this service and must instead be promoted through the ACC In-House Jobline, which is the national ACC job listing service that has a fee for postings.  For more information on those fees, go to http://jobline.acc.com/rates.cfm.  The ACC In-House Jobline and not the DELVACCA Job Board should be used by any member company seeking national exposure for their job posting, as the ACC In-House Jobline has over 4000 job seekers visiting the website daily from across the country.  The DELVACCA Job Board is designed to be a member benefit for DELVACCA companies and this free job posting service will not be available for use by non-member companies.

There are two goals in the chapter offering this new service.  First, we hope to give our in-transition members an edge in finding positions that best suit their background and experience, before the general public.  Second, we hope that member companies will find that using this service will enable them to save on their recruiting costs by promoting job openings to the chapter membership and that quality DELVACCA member candidates can be considered for open positions at member companies.

Blind company listings will not be accepted for the DELVACCA Job Board, since the DELVACCA Chapter Administrator will need to confirm that your company has an active DELVACCA membership.  Postings can also not include any of the following:  employer content that explicitly or implicitly discriminates on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, marital status, personal appearance, sexual orientation, family responsibilities, matriculation, political affiliation, disability, source of income, or place of residence or business, or any other factor prohibited by applicable law.  Approval of all postings will be necessary in order to ensure that the posting meets all of the standards and qualifications listed in this article.

To list an open in-house attorney job at your company for a position that is in the DELVACCA service region, DELVACCA members or their assistants or human resources departments should e-mail the posting to delvacca@acc.com or you can login to the DELVACCA Job Board eGroup and post directly to the eGroup (all postings will be subject to approval).  Please do not post any job postings to any other DELVACCA eGroup.  Any such postings shall be deleted immediately.

As a DELVACCA member, you have been automatically subscribed to the chapter Job Board eGroup, but you can opt out.  If you do not wish to receive these job postings by e-mail or if you want to change the frequency of these DELVACCA Job Board emails (such as to choose a daily digest option), please adjust your eGroup settings by logging into the ACC website, then by going to the following links: "My ACC", "My eGroups", "Manage My eGroups", "My Subscriptions" and then scroll down for the DELVACCA Job Board subscription options.

Please let us know if you have a successful outcome (finding a job or finding a new employee) using this new service, so that we can track the success of this new offering and promote the successes of the service to the chapter membership.  Any questions can be sent to Chris Stewart, Chapter Administrator at delvacca@acc.com.
