SomaLogic is a biotechnology company based out of Boulder, Colorado that was recently named “Company of the Year” by the Colorado BioScience Association. Ms. Ramirez-Eaves advises on all commercial and employment matters, domestically and internationally. She is a native of Colorado, earning both her JD and her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Jennifer Ingrassia is Corporate Real Estate Counsel for Alterra Mountain Company, a North American mountain resort and adventure company. Jennifer advises on and negotiates complex real estate, finance, hospitality, resort operations and international transactions. Prior to joining Alterra in 2012, Jennifer gained extensive experience in all facets of commercial real estate and corporate law with law firms in Florida and Colorado. Jennifer has been a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel since 2012 and she is currently chairing the Real Estate Subcommittee of the Colorado chapter's Business Transactions Committee. She also served on the Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation's Board of Directors and is the past Chair and Co-Founder of the Developing Leaders Mentor Committee for the Colorado chapter of the National Association of Office Properties. While in private practice, prior to moving to in-house positions, she represented lending institutions and contractors in corporate and real estate transactions and litigation. Before engaging in a legal career she was in executive and senior management in the corporate retail sector and included merchandising, new store development, strategic growth and restructuring through mergers and acquisitions of regional retailers and distribution coordination for Payless ShoeSource, as well as financial and revenue stream process management for Sprint PCS and American Express TRS.JD from Washburn University School of Law, BBA from the University of Oklahoma and MBA program with Kansas University. Randal’s diverse career includes private law practice, real estate brokerage and development, chief financial officer roles at investment banks, and in-house counsel positions in several different industries and includes extensive international business experience throughout Asia, Europe, South America, Australia, Canada, and the US. Such broad experiences enable him to provide invaluable perspectives on different ways to solve problems. At Neo, he advises on a wide variety of commercial matters for business units operating in 11 countries, in addition to overseeing a global patent and trademark portfolio.
He is an occasional speaker and panel member on the topic of international business and cross-cultural communication and chairs the Chapter’s International Practice group. Randal received JD and MBA degrees from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

Lindsey Schultz is an Associate Counsel at Western Union (WU), where she supports the company’s B-to-B unit that focuses on enabling businesses to efficiently manage cross-border payments. Lindsey focuses primarily on regulatory matters, commercial contracts, and supporting the division’s marketing program. Prior to joining WU, Lindsey wore many hats as one of two attorneys at a mid-sized payments company outside Boston and helped the organization navigate through a successful acquisition before moving back to her native Colorado. Anne Lee Benedict serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of Summit Materials, Inc. (NYSE: SUM), a leading U.S. based construction materials company headquartered in Denver. Ms. Benedict serves as the primary legal advisor for the company, responsible for all legal matters.
Prior to joining Summit Materials in October 2013, Ms. Benedict was a corporate partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, focusing on mergers & acquisitions, capital markets and securities and corporate governance. Anne graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1999. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology from the University of Michigan in 1995.
Jessica Borchers is Corporate Counsel at CenturyLink, a global communications and IT services company and the largest U.S. communications provider to global enterprise customers. Jessica currently supports the state and local government and small and medium business units, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. In this role she advises sales and business clients on legal and commercial issues to manage risk and ensure compliance with laws, company policies, and contract terms. Prior to her current role, Jessica supported strategic enterprise sales at Level 3 Communications, and procurement and technology transactions at CenturyLink. Jessica has been an active member of ACC Colorado’s Emerging Leaders Group since 2015, serving as Co-Chair since 2016. Jessica earned her law degree from the University of Denver, and earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Colorado State University. Gina Casias is a seasoned labor and employment attorney with extensive compliance and litigation management experience. Gina currently works as a national healthcare compliance director for DaVita Medical Group, one of the nation’s leading independent medical groups and soon to be a part of OptumHealth, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group. She previously worked at Gates Corporation, the leading global manufacturer of power transmission belts and fluid power products, managing their global human resources, labor and employment legal matters as well as global litigation and compliance. Prior to that, she worked at CenturyLink, the third largest telecommunications company in the United States. Gina is a Colorado native who earned both her B.S. in International Business & Marketing and her J.D. from the University of Colorado-Boulder.

Wendy Cassity is Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Zayo Group, a publicly-traded communications infrastructure company based in Boulder. At Zayo she is responsible for legal oversight of, among other things, the company’s M&A, corporate governance, public reporting, compliance, regulatory obligations, government affairs, IP and privacy. Before joining Zayo, Wendy was Vice President and General Counsel of Thompson Creek Metals Company, a publicly-traded mining company based in the Denver area, and was a corporate transactional attorney at McDermott Will & Emery LLP and Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York City. Wendy holds a B.A. from the University of Arizona in English and history and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.
For the past 7 years, Greg Clouser has served as labor and employment counsel at tw telecom inc. and Level 3 Communications. In addition to managing outside litigation and providing employment advice, Greg also administered tw telecom's Ethics and Compliance Program. Prior to that, Greg was an Associate at Holland & Hart LLP, where he practiced commercial, employment, labor and immigration law, including representation of employers against claims for breach of contract, fraud, Title VII violations, wrongful discharge, defamation, and retaliation. Greg hails originally from Illinois and Kentucky and attended law school at the University of Virginia.
Gemma Heckendorf is Chief Counsel at CSG International, headquartered in Greenwood Village, Colorado. CSG is one of the world’s largest providers of business support solutions, primarily serving the global communications industry, supporting the management of clients’ revenue, customer interactions, and digital ecosystems. Gemma advises on commercial and corporate transactional matters, domestically and internationally, as well as advising on a wide range of other corporate functions, including the management of data privacy, real estate portfolio, public company compliance and global entities. Prior to CSG, Gemma was Associate General Counsel at Ciber, Inc., a public company providing global information technology consulting and outsourcing to commercial clients, and has held a number of in-house legal positions in the Denver area, including at Vail Resorts and IHS, advising on a broad range of business and legal matters, including intellectual property protection, M&A activity, client and vendor engagement, HR, and strategic planning. Gemma began her legal career in Sydney, Australia, where she earned her Law and Arts degrees from the University of Sydney, and began the practice of law as an attorney at Allens, an international commercial law firm, after which she transitioned to her in-house career at Vodafone, Australia. Gemma has previously served as Chair of the Law Department Management Committee (LDMC) at the national ACC level, and is currently serving as Membership and Strategy co-chair to the LDMC.

Amy Klemt is currently Counsel for MarkWest Energy Partners, LP, mid-stream oil and gas company. Amy supports the business development functions of the company and advises on corporate and commercial matters. Prior to joining MarkWest, Amy held a number of roles in the legal departments of CoBank, ACB, a national Farm Credit System bank serving rural America; T3Media, Inc., a cloud-based video management, licensing and delivery media services company; and Molycorp, Inc., a rare earth mining company. Amy began her legal career as a corporate associate in the Washington, DC, office of WilmerHale. She earned her law degree from the University of Maryland School of law, Order of the Coif, and earned a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.A. in International Studies from the University of Wyoming.

Scott Porter is Assistant General Counsel for CoreSite, a provider of data center colocation and interconnection services to customers across 20 data centers in 8 major U.S. markets, where he is advisor and counsel over a wide range of corporate functions, including complex commercial transactions, employment, compliance, vendor contracting, and dispute resolution. Prior to joining CoreSite, Mr. Porter was counsel for Level 3 Communications where he developed over 13 years of experience providing legal counsel and representation on various subject matters. Prior to moving in-house, Mr. Porter spent 4 years in firm practice. Mr. Porter earned his J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law and is a native of Colorado, earning a B.A. in Political Science from Colorado State University.
Senior Litigation Counsel
Samuel Shapiro is Senior Litigation Counsel at Vail Resorts where he is primarily responsible for the defense of all guest liability and commercial lawsuits and claims against all companies in the Vail Resorts organization. Mr. Shapiro personally litigates cases on behalf of the Company in Colorado and also manages outside counsel in Colorado and other jurisdictions. He is also responsible for overseeing the Company's Claims Department. Prior to joining the Board of the Colorado ACC, he served for 5 years on the Executive Board of the ACC’s Litigation Committee. Mr. Shapiro began his career at a boutique insurance defense firm in Silver Spring, Maryland, litigating a diverse range of cases in the State and Federal Courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia. Prior to joining the Vail Resorts family, Mr. Shapiro was Assistant General Counsel for Pepco Holdings, Inc. (now Exelon Corp.), a publicly traded utility headquartered in Washington, DC, where he litigated matters on behalf of the organization. Mr. Shapiro enjoys spending his free time with his family, skiing (of course!) and wakeboarding.

Children's Hospital of Colorado
Megan Zatz is Deputy General Counsel at Children’s Hospital Colorado, a nonprofit hospital for children that provides comprehensive pediatric care at its main hospital campus in Aurora, Colorado and at several locations throughout Colorado. Children’s Hospital Colorado is an organization at the forefront of pediatric research and outreach in the Rocky Mountain region that also focuses advocacy efforts out into communities across Colorado with the goal of making sure kids’ concerns are always heard when public policies are made. Ms. Zatz leads the legal team at Children’s Hospital Colorado and advises on a wide variety of regulatory, corporate and operational issues. She has called many states home, but has found her home base in Denver after working for several health systems in Colorado since 2006. Ms. Zatz earned her J.D. at Lewis & Clark Law School in Oregon and her undergraduate degree in English from Carleton College in Minnesota.
