Jean Robertson
General Counsel
Video Professor, Inc.

Jean Robertson is General Counsel for Video Professor Inc., the industry leader in developing and distributing educational software tutorials. Prior to joining Video Professor in 2005, she was Associate General Counsel for The Broe Companies, Inc., an international investment, acquisition and operational company headquartered in Denver. Her private and in-house experience includes advising start-up and growing businesses on securities compliance issues, corporate structure and formation strategies, as well as contract, real estate, employment, and intellectual property matters. Jean has served on the Board of Directors for ACC Colorado since 2003. She earned her law degree from the University Of Denver College Of Law and her B.A. in International Studies from Miami University in Ohio. For the past four years, she has been a member of the Citizens’ Water Advisory Committee for the City of Aurora. She has been a speaker for the Denver Bar Association's Small Claims Clinic Project and an instructor of employment contracts law at the Denver Paralegal Institute.

Ileana Aguinis is Legal Counsel at First Data Corporation since 2005. She supports merchant acquiring and processing activities, issuer processing, bank alliances, network operations and association as well as regulatory compliance in the Latin America, Caribbean and Canada region. Prior to joining First Data, Ileana was the founder and principal of Latino Mediation LLC, a bilingual (Spanish-English) mediation services company. Previously, Ileana was an associate with Patton Boggs LLC and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLC in New York. Ileana received her JD at the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1997 and her B.A in political science in 1993 (summa cum laude). Ileana is originally from Argentina.

Ms. Askew has authored numerous white papers and articles on topics such as electronic signature technology, technology in the courtroom and Internet privacy and security; she is a frequent speaker at legal conferences and associations. Prior to joining Hunter Douglas in 2006, Ms. Bloomer was in private practice for 7 years and focused primarily on advising public companies with respect to securities, corporate, and governance issues. Ms. Bloomer received a BBA in Finance from Baylor Universiry and a JD from the University of Denver College of Law.

Eric Hilty is Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at Apartment Investment and Management Company (AIMCO) and has been at AIMCO since 2003. AIMCO is a REIT that owns and operates 992 apartment properties in 46 states. His role is to manage the company’s litigation. Prior to joining AIMCO, Eric was a partner at Holland and Hart in Denver in the commercial litigation group. Eric joined Holland and Hart in 1993 after completing a one-year clerkship with Judge Wade Brorby on the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. Eric is a 1992 graduate of the University of Denver College of Law holds a B.A. in History and Economics from Trinity University from 1988.

Eric also currently serves on the board of Invest in Kids, and the National Alumni Board for Trinity University.

Marcela Mendoza is a Senior Attorney for Qwest Communication International. Marcela has been with Qwest since January 15, 2001 and specializes in the area of employment immigration law. Prior to joining Qwest, she was an Assistant Attorney General for Ken Salazar. Marcela serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of General Counsel (“ACC Colorado”) and is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association where she participates in the Pro-bono Committee. She earned her B.S. in Aerospace Science from Metropolitan State College and holds a commercial pilot’s license. Marcela earned her law degree from the University Of Denver College Of Law.

Elliot Miller is the Colorado Association of Corporate Council Chapter’s programs chair and an Associate Attorney with Policy Studies Inc., a private government contracting firm focusing on social services outsourcing, consulting, and information technology. Elliot’s work at Policy Studies Inc. focuses on government procurement and contracting, management of insurance and bond portfolios, and protection of intellectual property. Elliot earned his Bachelors of Business Administration from the George Washington University and is a 2007 graduate of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

He started his legal career as a judicial clerk for Judge Stephen Williams on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and received his JD from the University of Colorado (with honors) and his BA from Colorado College.

Stephen E. Smith is Vice President and General Counsel for Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, headquartered in Denver, Colorado. As General Counsel, Smith has responsibility for the oversight of all legal functions of the operating elements reporting to the business area which include the Denver and Sunnyvale operations of Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, Michoud Operations and Commercial Space, as well as Lockheed Martin’s participation in the United Space Alliance and United Launch Alliance joint ventures with Boeing. Prior to the Lockheed-Martin Marietta merger in March 1995, Smith was General Counsel for Martin Marietta Astronautics Company near Denver, Colorado, the largest operating element of the former Martin Marietta Corporation. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University in 1973, and a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1977.
