Chief Compliance Officer
Marti Cardi is the Chief Compliance Officer at Reed Group, a leave of absence and disability management company. In that role she is responsible for ensuring that company services and software are provided in compliance with state and federal leave laws. Marti also serves as Reed Group’s in-house employment law counsel. Marti’s expertise in employment law and leave compliance started with more than 20 years in private practice as an associate, special counsel, and partner in Denver law firms. She then served as in-house employment counsel, first with the child care company Knowledge Learning Corporation and then with Sports Authority, the sporting goods retailer. Marti received her J.D. from the University of Colorado in Boulder and her B.A. in History from Colorado State University.

Senior Vice President and General Counsel
Sean joined IHS in June 2004 to help turn IHS into a public company. Working closely with the company’s board and leadership team, Sean serves as legal counsel on securities matters, corporate governance, and the complex regulatory issues that face a global public company. In addition, he is leading the company’s compliance program and oversees the risk management organization. Sean and his team also manage the company's intellectual property portfolio and provide legal support to the internal audit, finance, treasury, and purchasing shared services teams. Prior to joining IHS, Sean had a similar role as in-house counsel to a major telecommunications company during its rise as a public company, its successful reorganization in a New York bankruptcy court, and the sale of the business. Sean also spent many years in private practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma, advising public and private companies on complex business transactions, securities matters, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, compliance investigations, and corporate governance.

Mark is a repeat presenter at ACC annual meetings on topics relating to the use of technology in in-house practice and has served as co-chair of the Colorado ACC Litigation Committee. Mark received his JD from the College of William & Mary in 1994 his BS in Accounting from the University of Arizona.

Margaret "Meg" McClellan general counsel University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) Meg McClellan is the General Counsel for the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR), a non-profit research lab in Boulder, Colorado. Meg also serves as counsel to the board of trustees/directors for UCAR and the UCAR Foundation. Prior to UCAR, Meg was a partner at Slivka Robinson Waters & O'Dorisio in Denver. Meg has also served on several not-for-profit boards in the Denver metro area, including as Chair of the Jefferson County Cultural Council (1995) and Chair of the Board for Impact on Education (2007-08). Meg earned her B.A. in Economics from Colorado College and her J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law.

Mollybeth (Molly) R. Kocialski is Patent counsel for Oracle America, Inc.At Oracle, Ms. Kocialski is responsible for managing an active patent prosecution docket and is also response for patent investigations for Oracle and its subsidiaries.In addition to those responsibilities, Ms. Kocialski is involved in IP support for mergers and acquisitions, joint development agreements, patent licensing agreements, and providing advice on patent and other intellectual property matters to her colleagues and business clients at Oracle.Ms. Kocialski is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law and received a Bachelor of Science from the University of New Mexico.Ms. Kocialski is a registered patent attorney and is admitted to the New York and Colorado state bars as well as to the United States Courts in those jurisdictions.Prior to joining Oracle, Ms. Kocialski was patent counsel to Qwest Corporation and to First Data Corporation, with responsibilities similar to her responsibilities at Oracle.Prior to joining the ranks of in-house counsel, Ms. Kocialski was in private practice both in New York and in Colorado and focused her practice on intellectual property litigation for multiple high-tech companies while maintaining an active prosecution docket.

Scott Porter is Senior Attorney for CoreSite, a provider of data center and interconnection services to customers across 14 data centers in 9 major U.S. markets, where he is lead customer commercial transactions counsel.Prior to joining CoreSite, Mr. Porter was Corporate Counsel for Level 3 Communications, a global provider of IP-based communications services in more than 45 countries, where he developed over 13 years of experience negotiating, performing risk analysis and advising management on complex commercial transactions, handling matters involving dispute resolution, acting as legal advisor and policy advocate in regulatory matters, and providing legal counsel on various other matters.Prior to moving in-house, Mr. Porter spent 4 years in firm practice.Mr. Porter earned his J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law and is a native of Colorado, earning a B.A. in Political Science from Colorado State University.

Elliot Miller is Corporate Counsel at Wowza Media Systems, LLC, the Any Screen Done Right™ streaming media server software company. Miller has primary responsibility for Wowza's legal issues including inbound and outbound software licensing and intellectual property protection, business transactions, and employment matters. Miller is also highly involved in Wowza's business development activities, working directly with channel partners and customers to grow the business. Prior to Wowza, Miller was Director, Legal Affairs and Contracts Manager at Pendum, LLC, a $100m national armored transportation and ATM field maintenance company. Miller was also previously the Associate Attorney at Policy Studies Inc., a $150m private government contracting firm providing business process outsourcing and complex custom software solutions to state and local governments in the health and human services fields. Miller earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the George Washington University with a focus on international business and is a graduate of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

Aaron Brodsky is Chief IP Counsel at Trimble Navigation Limited, where he is responsible for the company's worldwide IP portfolio. Aaron also manages strategic IP licensing and transactions, and IP litigation. Aaron was previously Managing Counsel in Oracle's Patent, Trademark & Copyright Group where his responsibilities included managing Oracle's worldwide patent portfolio for computer server hardware. Prior to that, Aaron was Associate General Counsel and Director of Patent Prosecution for Sun Microsystems. Aaron is a 1995 graduate from the University of Colorado School of Law, and holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and a master's degree in engineering from Northwestern University.

Gina Casias is an experienced in-house counsel, having practiced labor and employment law for almost 15 years at CenturyLink, the third largest telecommunications company in the United States. As Senior Corporate Counsel - Employment, she provides management advice on a variety of employment law issues but mostly focuses on wage and hour issues. She has extensive experience in investigations, compliance matters, and early dispute resolution. Gina is the Co-chair for the ACC Employment Law Practice Committee. Gina is a Colorado native who earned both her B.S. in International Business & Marketing and her J.D. from the University of Colorado-Boulder.

Ms. Ramirez-Eaves is a native of Colorado and began her legal career at Kutak Rock. She received her JD from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1996 and her Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1993.

Chris Allyn is the VP and Associate General Counsel of Quiznos. Chris has over a decade of in house legal experience with IBM, Ricoh, and DigitalGlobe. Prior to going in house, Chris practiced securities and corporate law with the law firm of Dorsey & Whitney in Denver, Colorado. Chris is currently a member of the ACC Colorado Board of Directors and the co-chair for the ACC Colorado Employment Law Practice Committee. Chris is a Colorado native and earned her B.S.B.A Summa Cum Laude from the University of Denver and her J.D. with Honors from the University of Texas School of Law.

Shalini Sharma joined Matrix Financial Solutions, a Broadridge company based in Denver, as Vice President & General Counsel in June 2011. She served as Vice President and Corporate Counsel for Automatic Data Processing ("ADP") in New Jersey beginning in 2004 and as Vice President & Senior Corporate Counsel for Broadridge Financial Solutions after its spin-off from ADP in 2007. Shalini was an associate at the law firm Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle, LLP in New York City from 1998 – 2004 where she was involved in cross-border and domestic M&A, financings, and securities transactions in addition to general corporate matters. Shalini received a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Chicago and a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law at Austin. Shalini is also the recipient of a Fulbright award.

Dennis Kaw is the general counsel for Appliance Factory Outlet & Mattresses and its affiliates ("AFO"). AFO is the 32nd largest appliance retailer in the country. Dennis manages all of AFO's legal needs. He is also responsible for developing and implementing AFO's growth strategies. Dennis is a graduate of the University of Denver School Of Law. He started his career as a Captain in the Air Force Judge Advocate General's Corp. at which he gained valuable leadership skills he now uses at AFO. He also enjoys volunteering his time in the Denver community, including, coaching the Denver School of Science and Technology High School Mock Trial Team.
