Join us as for an interactive discussion of how to minimize litigation risk when hiring from a competitor. Discussion topics will include possible sources of liability, pre-hire due diligence, complying with restrictive covenants and garden leave clauses, whether to provide legal advice to candidates, how a candidate can be a “good leaver,” how “loose lips can sink ships,” avoiding claims of trade secret misappropriation, assessing the likelihood of litigation associated with a particular hire, responding to “cease and desist” letters, creating your own defensive exhibits, and possible settlement concepts.

He is responsible for the company’s legal affairs in the United States, Canada and Latin America. At HH Global, Zack works closely with senior leadership to help the company achieve its business objectives while managing its legal risk. Zack’s practice covers a wide range of legal issues, including: negotiating and drafting commercial contracts; corporate governance; employment law; litigation and dispute management; and helping the company protect its IP portfolio. Prior to working at HH Global, Zack spent several years as an in house attorney at Allstate Insurance Company. Zack served on the ACC Chicago Chapter’s Board of Directors from 2009 – 2015.
