Global market forces created a business environment in the United States which has had an impact on the way deals are executed. Please join our panel of experienced corporate counsel and our New York partners as we discuss (and debate) the emerging trends we see and their implications for deal-making and corporate governance practices going forward. Gawain Smart leads Oxford’s legal group in strategic planning and the execution of its global investment platform. Prior to joining Oxford, Gawain was a Partner at a major New York law firm.
Sandra Cohen, Partner, Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP - New York
Sandra advises U.S. and Canadian companies on multi-jurisdictional executive compensation arrangements including designing appropriate incentives and stock-based compensation, cross-border taxation of deferred compensation plans and special change of control issues.
