Chapters
President's Message
In a year when every cost is being questioned, my commitment for 2010 is to ensure that the Association of Corporate Counsel remains a great value, both to our members and sponsors.
To that end, the we are putting together some terrific events. Already we opened up the year with a breakfast at Triumph Cafe where several members got to network before starting their day. Don't worry if you missed it - we plan on more breakfast events soon.
In addition to our traditional monthly CLE and social activities, we've also got some major events coming up this year that are not to be missed!
o Golf / Spa CLE :: 21 May. Join us at Barton Creek Resort for a half day of CLE followed by golf or spa activities.
o Mini MBA :: 16 - 17 September. The University of Texas McCombs School of Business will be teaching a two-day MBA program at the ATT Conference Center. Attorneys from all over Texas will be coming in for the two-day event so don't wait to sign up or you might miss out!
o ACC National Convention :: 24 - 27 October. This year the ACC National Convention will be in San Antonio. The Texas Chapters are working together to make the event "Texas sized." Plan to attend the Monday night Texas chapters' party.
We are also moving into the social networking space with our first-ever page on Facebook. Please join our group to get the latest updates, see pictures from past events and view the calendar of upcoming activities.
If you haven't attended one of our events before, I really want to encourage you to come. We have a great time and I'm really looking forward to meeting all of you over the coming months.
Before I close, I also want to thank the members of the 2010 Chapter board who have volunteered their time to keep the Chapter running, and help keep me out of trouble. Their efforts are greatly welcome and deeply appreciated.
Please let me know if there is anything we can do to better serve your needs.
Regards,
Frank
