Here We Grow Again!
We bet you thought ACC's Annual Meeting couldn't get any better. With an ever-expanding member base (and networking base more importantly), we have broadened the schedule to include more programs on more tracks to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse membership. New this year, financial services lawyers will find a full track of sessions focused specifically on their practice. Plus, you will find more intermediate to advanced level programs and increased educational opportunities for those just starting out in the in-house profession as well as for those who have been around the block a few times. As always, ACC will help you meet your CLE/CPD requirements and increase your awareness of the tools and resources available to help you serve your client and advance your career.

Time to Revisit the Fundamentals
As an in-house practitioner, a large part of your job is issue spotting. But how do you get trained on various subjects that you may never have encountered before? Trial by fire is a commonly accepted practice, but wouldn't you rather be trained by an expert? Our new Fundamentals track is a series of programs designed to provide you a basic review of a variety of common subjects every in-house lawyer should know. Look for such programs as 209 Benefits 101-A Primer on Employee Benefits Law, 409 Antitrust Compliance Training, 509 Advertising Law Boot Camp, and more so you can develop your knowledge base for the next step in your career. Onsite Pro Bono Clinic
In 2006, ACC will host its ninth annual Onsite Pro Bono Clinic under the auspices of Corporate Pro Bono (CPBO) (a partnership project of ACC and the Pro Bono Institute). The clinic offers in-house counsel the opportunity to earn CLE credit while providing pro bono services to community-based nonprofit organizations that are in great need of legal assistance. In the first half of the clinic, participants will receive training from national experts on the legal issues facing nonprofit organizations. Participants then will work in teams and meet with representatives of San Diego area nonprofits to guide them through a legal assessment. At the conclusion of the clinic, participants can decide whether to continue to work with CPBO to help the nonprofit clients solve their legal issues. Training materials and information about the nonprofit organizations will be provided to participants in advance. For more information about the Clinic, contact Eve Runyon, CPBO Project Director, at 202.662.9699 or at cpbo@acca.com. Please mark your registration form to indicate your interest.
