The ACC Value Challenge Begins
Posted: Sep 26, 2008 At a launch program held on September 26, 2008, ACC unveiled its newest, and perhaps most aggressive, initiative ever: the ACC Value Challenge. The initiative, which is premised on a concern that ACC members have voiced for many years: that the value of legal services is increasingly divorced from the appropriate (and ever-rising) cost of those services. This is a problem that clients want their in-house counsel to manage better and that outside counsel need to address by re-considering their service and business models. The ACC Value Challenge seeks to reconnect value for the cost of legal services; a problem that both inside and outside lawyers must collaborate together to resolve.
Visit the ACC Value Challenge portion of our site to read more about the launch program, our ambitious goals, the community network of interested firms, department leaders, and legal services providers who are all contributing to the success of this project. Tool kits of resources are also available to help you if you are interested in accepting the “Challenge” and moving forward with us. ACC will be hosting meetings that encourage frank and meaningful dialog, as well as opportunities for engagement and interaction on how to build the resources and drive the missions of this project (on its own and through its excellent Chapter network). Continue to check out our Web site homepage for project updates, which will include a calendar of upcoming events that you can attend.
