ACC Chapters Worldwide Celebrate Diversity on 'Day of Pink'

WASHINGTON (April 9, 2014) — The 55 chapters of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), a global bar association representing more than 33,000 in-house counsel in 85 countries, are participating in the International Day of Pink today to raise awareness about bullying and discrimination.
The chapters join the efforts of ACC Board Chair David Allgood, executive vice president and general counsel at Royal Bank of Canada, who received the Matthew J. Whitehead, II Diversity Award at the ACC Annual Meeting in October. Allgood and his staff were recognized for their strong support of Day of Pink, among other diversity initiatives.
Day of Pink participants wear pink clothing with the goal of promoting diversity and acceptance of differences, especially related to homophobia and transphobia, in schools, workplaces and communities worldwide. ACC will post pictures of staff and members supporting Day of Pink on its Facebook page.
