The North Florida Chapter (www.acc.com/chapters/nfl/) serves the professional needs of nearly 150 in-house from 76 corporations and is the newest chapter to ACC, formed in June 2009.  The Chapter created diverse program offerings for many segments of ACC’s membership, including a partnership with Florida Coastal School of law, which places second and third year law students as externs in local corporate legal departments for credit.

The Central Ohio Chapter (www.acc.com/chapters/centoh/) represents over 345 in-house counsel from 136 corporations in the Central Ohio region. The Chapter carried out aggressive membership marketing tactics that resulted in a retention rate of 90% and net growth at 13%.  In addition, the Chapter created new activities for members, including programs supporting the ACC Value Challenge, diversity initiatives, unique in-transition and career development programs, and technological initiatives to drive membership. The Chapter also hosted the popular musical production highlighting ethics issues, the “Ethics Follies.”

Additionally, pro bono and diversity initiatives, career development programs, and other projects provide varied opportunities for members to connect.

As an eight-time winner in this category, the Southern California (SoCal) Chapter (www.acc.com/chapters/socal/) serves the professional needs more than 1,475 in-house counsel from 741 corporations in the Southern California region.  This year, the Chapter pressed forward with innovative ways to better serve members.  It developed a strong presence in social media networks, rolled out a technology-based social-media promotional program, launched an exclusive “Chief Legal Officer Networking Event,” and provided $160,000 in charitable contributions.

Additionally, the Chapter’s traditional programs and special events have continued to grow and expand as well as its community service and diversity efforts.
