7 October, 2011, Paris, France — The Association of Corporate Counsel Europe (ACCE), the primary European organization run by the in-house counsel profession for the benefit of its in-house counsel members, elected Iohann Le Frapper, General Counsel Networks Group, Alcatel-Lucent, as its new President at a Board Meeting in Paris on 16th September 2011. In addition to the election of Le Frapper, four new members were elected to the Board. ACC Europe, through its many tools, networks and resources, helps in-house counsel to do their jobs better, and Le Frapper will oversee the ACCE Board of Directors in its efforts to address those matters affecting its members throughout Europe. The newly elected officers include: Maria Jesus Alonso, General Counsel, Cabolivo, S.L. (ACCE Vice President and Country Representative for Spain); Dr. Martin Henrich, Head of Global Litigation, Novartis International AG (ACCE’s Corporate Secretary); John Lowe, General Counsel and Communications Director, Qioptiq (ACCE Treasurer); and Dirk Tirez, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, bPost (ACCE Immediate Past President and Country Representative for Belgium). "The ACC Europe Board is comprised of seasoned in-house counsel who, in addition to their day jobs, devote their time and energy pro bono to provide direction and leadership for our members," explains newly elected ACC Europe President, Iohann Le Frapper. "Thanks to the great mix of European cultures and backgrounds, we bring together a wealth of experience, knowledge and diverse viewpoints, which lends itself to an exciting year of new programs and outreach efforts.
