Law Firms Cautious About ACC Ranking System
The AM Law Daily Nov 9, 2009 When we initially heard about the Association of Corporate Counsel's plan for a system to rank law firms based on evaluations from in-house lawyers, we didn't think the firms would be thrilled about it.
And they're not, in part because about two-thirds of the 1,500 or so evaluations already in the month-old system are anonymous, according to The National Law Journal, an Am Law Daily sibling publication. The NLJ spoke to the Zeughauser Group, the well-known consultancy whose partners say law firms have been sending negative feedback about the anonymity of the rankings. "We don't see how not sharing reviews with law firms helps accomplish ACC's mission of fostering change," one Zeughauser consultant told the NLJ.
